Editor's note:China's national-level regional strategy can be summarized as three regions and two watersheds: the "three regions" refers to the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; the "two watersheds" refers to the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the ecological protection and high quality development of Yellow River Basin. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta are the most economically active regions in China.
